Davis Pneumatic Systems design and manufacture special pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, valves, high quality linear actuators and pneumatic/electro-
pneumatic control systems. We also have a full range of standard pneumatic control equipment.

Established in 1964 the company has over 40 years of experience and deal with a wide variety of industries both in the UK and throughout the world.

Davis specialise in high integrity pneumatic products and control systems for the railway industry, linear valve actuation systems for the process industries and pneumatic products and systems for the industrial sector.

Our design and manufacturing plant is in Plymouth, where over 50 personnel are employed. Davis’s main capabilities are outlined below:

Engineering Design

We have a highly competent and experienced team of design engineers who are able to design bespoke, cost effective solutions, adding value for the benefit of our customers.
Over the years the company has developed a depth of experience in many industries including rail, process and the industrial sector allowing solutions to be developed to meet the needs of our customers and conform to the specifications of the relevant industry.
Using the very latest design and analysis modelling software allows us to produce innovative designs prior to commencement of any manufacturing. electro-magnetic devices.

Manufacturing

Our manufacturing plant includes CNC and conventional machine tools, paint shop, assembly and testing facilities to enable us to produce our full range of products, from the smallest component, up to cylinders of 760 mm diameter. We employ a workforce of some 35 experienced, highly skilled and dedicated personnel.
The MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) system controls the flow of components from order entry to despatch.

Continuous improvement forms a corner stone of Davis’s quality philosophy to ensure our customers, suppliers and other key stake holders benefit from effective and efficient business processes.
Davis is assessed to ISO9001:2000 with periodic audits to ensure compliance. Full material tracebility, Test Certificates and other documentation is available as required.
