Windscreen Wiper Systems for the Railway Industry

Davis supplies complete windscreen wiper systems and component parts that are manufactured by BROT Technologies, who have over 40 years' experience.

There are more than 20,000 BROT units in use in France alone, with low life cycle
costs guaranteed: the actuator life is typically 30 years, with a ten-year service interval; wiper arms have a minimum life of five years; wiper blades carry a two-year guarantee.

Actuators

The BROT 4E electro-pneumatic system combines both the advantages of its electronic control module (space saving, better ergonomics, ease of use) and its pneumatic actuator (power and longevity). Adapted for heavy-duty applications, long arms and blades and high-speed trains.
 

The BROT 3 electro-pneumatic actuator provides exceptional power in a limited space. The unit can be used on all types of vehicles, except large screens at high speed.
 

The ALBA 3 fully pneumatic windscreen wiper actuator can be used on all types of vehicles, except large screens at high speed. More than 20,000 ALBA 3s are currently in use on the French Rail network.

Pantograph screen wiper arms

• Straight or curved for flat or curved screen cabs
• Washing system incorporated or not
• Range: 500 to 1000mm
• Suitable for all locomotives, including highspeed trains

Wide angle wiper arms

• Straight or curved for flat or curved screen cabs
• Range: 400 to 700mm
• For suburban trains and service vehicles

Blades

Articulated blades 

• For flat or curved wide screens.
• High resistance, stable under extreme conditions.
• Range: 400 to 1000mm.
• For high-speed trains.

Rigid blades

• For small flat windscreens.
• Range: 250 to 500mm.
• For suburban trains and service vehicles.
